Chef de PartieWould you like a 4 day working week?!
We are looking for Chefs who are PASSIONATE about food, MOTIVATED and CAREER ORIENTATED. If you are looking for a life/work style change then we want to hear from you.
Candidates must be:
- Trade qualified / experienced in a resort or hotel work environment.
- Team players with a "Can Do" attitude.
- A demonstrated ability to take control of your section and make it your own.
- HACCAP knowledge an advantage.
- Experience in banquets and event operations in hotel/resort would be an advantage.
This salaried position requires you to be available on weekends and public holidays over a rotating roster. Weekly shifts include 2 x 12 hour shifts with a 1 hour break and 2 x 8 hour shifts with a half hour break.

Day Spa Beauty Therapist
We are seeking a qualified Beauty Therapist to join our wonderful Day Spa team. You will be reporting directly to the Day Spa Manager and your main role will include providing exceptional services and treatments to all guests by following department-operating standards, whilst maintaining an utmost professional manner and appearance.
Other key requirements include:
- Relevant Beauty Therapy qualifications with similar experience in a professional environment (Health Spa, Hotel or Resort).
- A minimum of 2 years experience within the Beauty / Day Spa industry
- Some experience in a variety of Massage techniques.
- Excellent grooming, superior communication skills and a positive, nurturing approach to clients.
- Thalgo product/treatment knowledge desirable but not essential.
- Must be able to work both week days and weekends between the hours of 10:30am and 7:00pm
- Administrative experience is desirable but not essential.

Electrician
We are seeking to employ a full time Electrician to work at our Island Resort, situated on South Stradbroke Island, just 35 minutes by ferry from Hope Island on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
- Energy Management System.
- Power Station Equipment.
- Water Plant & associated Equipment.
- Sewage Plant & all associated Equipment.
- Computerised Maintenance Management System.
In order to apply for this position, you must meet the following selection criteria:.
- Must hold a current Queensland Electrical Fitter / Mechanic Licence..
- Previous experience in a Resort or similar organisation would be advantageous..
- Have already obtained or be willing to obtain suitable qualifications in confined space entry..
- Have already obtained or be willing to obtain Senior First Aid / CPR qualifications..
- Have already obtained or be willing to obtain L.V. Rescue Certificate..
- Must have current QLD drivers licence.
Please note that the successful candidate will be willing to stay employed with us for 12 months following the receipt of any qualifications paid for by the Resort, or alternatively to reimburse the Company for any qualifications received during the course of employment.
This position is full time, based on a 7 day roster, with 2 Rostered Day’s Off per week. The successful candidate will be flexible in the hours they can work, as it may be necessary to do over-time occasionally if the business necessitates.
Front Office / Night Auditor (Job Share)
We are currently looking for a customer service star to join our Front Office Team in a job share role.
This position offers up to 38 hours per week, and is permanent.
This position will be based both at our Hope Harbour Ferry Terminal and Couran Cove Island Resort, comprising of 3 day/afternoon shifts as a Guest Service Attendant and 2 Evening shifts as the Night Auditor.
To be successful in this position, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Previous experience in a Front Desk position in a Hotel/Customer Service field.
- Previous experience in a Night Auditor, or similar, role.
- A passion for excellent guest service.
- Enthusiasm, energy and flexibility to work within a 7 day rotating roster.
- Demonstrated computer and administrative skills (Front Office systems such as Epitome will be a definite advantage).
- Excellent presentation and ability to operate as part of our multi-disciplinary team.
- Sense of urgency and a keen eye for detail.

Reservations Sales Agent
This exciting position works closely with our Sales and Marketing Team as we actively promote our resort and add to our valuable client base.
- You will have a proven background in Tourism/ Hospitality customer service.
- Experience in reservations is desireable though not essential as extensive training will be provided to the successful candidate.
- It is essential you possess excellent communication, organisational and time management skills together with a strong focus on attention to detail and Customer Service.
- You will have a good understanding of computer related applications in order to input accurate data along with an excellent telephone manner to assist with our busy switchboard.
- Knowledge of 'Epitome' or similar Front Office system will be highly regarded.
- This role requires you to work well under pressure and be a positive representative of our Resort.
- The ideal candidate will be able to work on a 7 day rotating roster, working between 30 to 38 hours per week.&nspb

Room Attendants
Would you like to work Monday to Friday only?... Then this position is for you!
We are currently looking for Room Attendants to join our Housekeeping Department.
Selection Criteria:
- Energetic & Enthusiastic candidates who are keen to be trained or experienced Room Attendants who pride themselves on delivering a sparkling clean service
- Sound attention to detail and a positive, proactive response to guest requests is essential
- Manual Drivers licence would be an advantage as you may need to drive housekeeping vehicles from time to time.
- Able to ride a bicycle
- A flexible, versatile approach, as well as the ability to thrive under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to actively contribute to a multi-skilled and multi-cultural team
Please note that these positions are not 'live-on' as we are ideally seeking candidates who can stay with us for longer than 6 months.
Security & Safety Officers
We are looking for Security and Safety Officers who have previous experience in a similar 4 star Resort / Hotel environment that can promote a state of comfort, security and safety amongst all of our employees and guests on this breathtaking Island Resort.
These positions offer a minimum of 40 hours per week, and is paid on an hourly basis. This position includes day, evening, night and weekend shifts, based on a rotating roster.
The successful candidates must:
- Have Security Operations Licence, RSA and Blue Card.
- Have previous experience in a similar role in a Hotel or Resort environment.
- Be able to work autonomously and conduct routine patrols and property inspections.
- Have excellent personal presentation and communication skills in order to produce accurate reports for Management.
- Fire Training and Emergency Evacuation Procedures training experience will be advantageous.
